		EUGENIUSZ GET-STANKIEWICZ Biography and posters

Eugeniusz Get-Stankiewicz Born in 1942 in Oszmiana (Belarus). He studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Technology in Wrocław (1961 - 1966) and the National School of Fine Arts in Wroclaw (1966 - 1972). From 1982 to 1985 he led a Graphic Art Studio on PWSSP. From 1998 he worked on the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. Specialized in drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic design, poster design, copperplating. Often used in his works the theme of the head (called the "Head") features the same artist. He was recipient of many awards: cultural award of "Solidarity" for the years 1981-1982, the Medal of Honor of the International Biennial of Contemporary Exlibris (1988), Silesian Cultural Prize of the Government of Lower Saxony (1995), the Golden Ball (2011). Died in 2011 in Wroclaw.
